Magic Bridge by Thomasina Burke is a story of Love, Travel and Completing an Epic Journey! I have to tell you it has been three days since I finish reading ‘Magic Bridge’ and I have thought of it so many times I lost count. Don’t get me wrong now! I have the honor of reading some pretty great stories, but some just do not make it to the list of ‘those that linger’. Magic Bridge is now on that list!
Dealing with issues of distrust and betrayal from earlier in her life, Bridgette seems to believe she encapable of having a man in her life. That is until the adventurous Matt crashes into her life, and with him she learns to face and attack her fears head on. Slowly Bridgette becomes a woman who can accept love, adventure and eventually sorrow. As Bridgette and Matt journey from Arizona to far away lands, they experience a growth of understanding and love.
Author, Thomasina Burke, is clear from the very beginning of her story what will happen later in the book. She wraps you up and weaves you into the love and commitment shared by Bridgette and Matt. So much so that you will still find it hard to accept when the time comes to acknowledge the heartbreaking loss. You then follow Bridgette as she fulfills her promise of love and respect for Matt… you feel yourself pushing her along on her quest… you feel yourself becoming a part of the human spirit that ‘all things are possible’.

The Magic Bridge sounds like a journey that I would enjoy making even though I’ll never get to travel the places they went.
